Journalists can be frustrating to deal with. They don’t always answer their phones and can be slow to reply to emails (or not reply at all). The good news is, there are things you can do to get their attention – and increase your chances of getting a ‘yes’ when you pitch a story idea.

In this episode, I share my tips on getting journalists to say ‘yes’ to you.

Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:

  • Why you need to start by doing your research and get to know your target publications and programmes inside out
  • Tools and resources – including social media – you can use to connect with journalists
  • Questions to ask if you get a ‘no’ from a journalist
