If you’re looking to get more media coverage for your business or brand, you need to build personal relationships with journalists. But if you’ve ever tried getting a journalist out of the office for coffee or lunch, you’ll know securing a face-to-face meeting can be a challenge.
With most journalists working to tight deadlines – every single day of the week – it’s often difficult for them to get out of the office. And when they do have spare time, there’s a queue of people wanting to meet them – so your chances of getting a coffee date can be slim.
In this episode, I share my best ‘hacks’ on getting to meet journalists in person.
Here’s what I cover in this episode:
- How meeting journalists can help you get more media coverage
- Finding events and conferences journalists are speaking at
- Hosting your own ‘meet the media’ events
